Your Role:
As an Architectural Designer at Rootstock, you will play a pivotal role in our projects' success. Your keen eye for detail, artistic flair, and technical expertise will bring our designs to life. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of projects, ensuring that no two days are ever the same.

• Assist with Design Development: Collaborate with senior architects to develop design concepts, create sketches, and assist in refining architectural plans.
• Drafting and CAD: Produce detailed drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• 3D Modeling: Create 3D models of architectural designs to help visualize the final project and assess its impact on the surrounding environment.
• Site Analysis: Participate in site visits and analyze site conditions, including topography, environmental factors, and existing structures, to inform design decisions.
• Building Codes and Regulations: Research local building codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements to ensure compliance throughout the design process.
• Material and Product Research: Research and evaluate construction materials and building products to ensure they meet design and performance requirements.
• Construction Documents: Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details, for use by contractors and builders.
• Coordination: Collaborate with other team members, such as structural engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects, to integrate their input into the overall design.
• Project Coordination: Help coordinate and communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
• Renderings and Presentation: Create renderings, presentations, and visual materials to communicate design concepts to clients and project stakeholders.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM): Work with BIM software to create and maintain digital models of the project, facilitating coordination and communication among team members. FUTURE GOAL
• Code Compliance: Stay up-to-date with building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability practices to ensure that designs meet all relevant requirements.
• Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Participate in efforts to integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient strategies into projects.
• Quality Control: Assist in reviewing project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain organized project files and documentation, including drawings, correspondence, and project notes.
• Client Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their needs, present design ideas, and address their concerns.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, attend relevant workshops or seminars, and pursue licensure or certification, if applicable.
• Assist with Project Management: Support project managers in tasks such as budget tracking, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design and construction-related issues as they arise during the project.
• Learning and Growth: Actively seek opportunities to learn and grow within the architectural profession, taking on new responsibilities as skills and knowledge develop.

Requirements:

• Proficient in English (Speaking and Writing)
• Mastery of Revit, CAD, Sketchup, and Rendering Software
• A passion for architectural design and creativity that knows no bounds
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in Architectural studies.
