Born and raised in Edmonton, Daniel holds a degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in English, as well as a Certificate in Sustainability from the University of Alberta and a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Alberta Association of Architects as an Intern Architect and is currently working toward professional registration.
Daniel began his architectural career working on a diverse range of projects, including deep-energy retrofits, recreation facilities, commercial tenant improvements, and industrial renovations. While this experience has given him a broad understanding of design and construction, he has always been particularly passionate about residential architecture and thoughtful infill development.
His background in planning gives him a holistic perspective on the built environment, allowing him to consider how architecture responds not only to the needs of its occupants, but also to its neighbourhood, community, and broader urban context. He is interested in creating responsive, sustainable, and enduring spaces that contribute positively to the built environment.
Outside of architecture, Daniel enjoys painting, sculpting, and caring for his growing collection of plants.
